can tier 2 dependent stay in UK while the main app travels

Hi Guys,

I need to check this scenario where the dependants stays in Uk while the Tier 2 holder travels outside of UK for few weeks.

To give you the background currently both Tier 2 holder and dependant are in UK, but the Tier 2 holder needs to travel outside UK for few weeks.

Does this mean the dependant also needs to travel or the tier 2 holder alone can travel for few weeks outsdie UK without accompanying the dependants.

If you are not sure can you share the e-mail or contact number of UKBA to check.
