help with gross income calculation (SPOUSE )

I'm confused on how to know ones income, my situation is this..

my basic salary is 18500 pa. thats what is on my contract, this means that my gross monthly income is 1541 and net pay (money that goes in bank account montly is 1259......
however, I work weekends and night shift ......the least amount that I was paid in the last 6 months is 1400(net pay), this means that my gross annual income is above 21000 and gross monthly income 1750

please i want to know if this is how gross income is calculated or if gross income is the money you are actually paid (money that goes in your account after tax calcuation)?

Secondly

my boyfriend proposed to me in october, he doesnt earn above the income threshold and he just got the job in october. he has not been working.
I have 2 months left on my visa and we haven't even given notice in court.
I got carried away...i didn't remember again that I'm on a visa.. We are busy plannning our tradition marriage thaT WILL TAKE PLACE 2013 EASTER...very funny..

do you think we can finish everyyhing before my visa expires? or do i just go to my country and wait until he get a job that pays 18600 so that he can apply for the visa for me while I'm in my country.

my boyfriend has criminal conviction... he has served his 20 months... its somthing relating with conspiracy of drugs .......he is a changed person now....
I'm already madly in love with him when he told me,,,,,,

We will declare everything... do you think that it will affect my application?

Notice in Court? Don't understand. If the intention is to marry in the UK, you need to give Notice of Intention to Marry, at your local Register Office.

Suggest the plan could be :-

• give that notice in the near future
• get legally married at the Register Office sometime in January
• after that legal marriage, make your application for a spouse visa
• proceed with your "tradition marriage thaT WILL TAKE PLACE 2013 EASTER", but not as a legal marriage, but merely as a wedding blessing.
