Tier 2 Genral Urgent Query for SOC

Post by arunfruity » Sun Dec 09, 2012 8:13 pm

Hi

I am Arun from Derby, I work as a software Tester for an IT company.

My salary is 20000 pounds/Year but according to the code of practice the closest match are
1. Test analyst : 28000 pounds
2. QA manager : 25000 pounds

My company is willing to provide a salary upto 25000

I am an MBA graduate as well, so can my company assign it to 25000 pounds QA manager code ? or is it possible for them to assign Graduate Developer role and make my salary as 22500

Thanks in advance, I am in real need to help
Arun

How long have you been working in your company. If you working below six months, then you can be a graduate. If you are working more than six months you are not a graduate anymore. As long as your salary matches
soc code it wont be any problem. Job title is important than job description. may be if i am wrong. chk with smebdy else as well..

SOC code assignment is relating to your job description and the employer needs to justify it if questioned.
You can use either of the code.

I am also working as test analyst in Leeds and earning 20K per annum. The test analyst job code says 28k. so i am thinking to change to the job type as Gradate Programmer as (Junior Test Analyst) and ask my company to offer 23K. Please let me know on ur progress and i will update mine as well.

Thanks
Vanitha

One of my friend, their company changed his salary. Company advise him to apply for the visa without submitting the Payslip. Just COS , english and maintenance documents are submitted. He is not going to submit payslip. Did you guys come across anything of this sort?

Hi Arun,

I graduated from UK uni and my current stay visa is PSW. To extend my stay in UK i have to move to Tier 2 visa. My psw visa expires on 15th Feb 2013. I am working as test analyst and my company pays me 20,000 per annum. I am working with this company for about 8 months. As per code of practice, test analyst job has to offered with 28K per annum. I am earning less than that. My company cannot offer 28 K but they are ok to offer 23k . My question Can I use Graduate Developer job type in my COS.

My other response was, my friend is earning 25k and his as per code of practice for that job role minimum mentioned pay was 28k. His company agreed to offer him 28k and asked him to submit the tier 2 visa application form without payslips. It was mentioned in that online application form that "we have to submit payslip". Is it ok to submit application without payslip?

Thanks,
Vanitha
