SET(M) form and a few questions

Post by salman7777 » Sun Dec 09, 2012 10:52 pm

Hi,
We are going to submit ILR application for my wife (spouse of British Citizen) who was given leave to remain visa abroad in February 2010.

The form seems pretty usual stuff and I believe, the focus will be more on cohabitation evidence, LIUK etc rather than finacial evidence. Appreciate if someone can comment on the following based on their experience:

> Do I need to fill in the details in section 3 if there is no dependent on this application? We have a son who has a british passport but this ILR is being submitted for wife only.

> 2.27 do you or your partner have any shared financial responsibilities? .. I assume the answer is 'no' if this question is referring to something other than usual living expenses? I am responsible to pay the bills and everything.

> I am running my limited company. For financial evidence, would it be sufficient to provide 3 moths payslips, 1 dividend voucher and last 3 months bank statements confirming the payments into my personal account?

> Is there a reference to UKBA guidelines requiring certified copies of payslips/dividend voucher?

> My wife does occassional part time work. Are we obliged to provide her monthly salary or payslips ? As I am going to support the application, I am thinking to keep it simple.

> I have not seen any reference to "absences outside UK". Is there any such requirement for my wife for the ILR application or for the Citizenship application later?

> Looking at few other responses by John (Moderator), I am going to tick the box for 8.26 (Public funds) as I am Claiming Child Benifit for our son. I hope it will not be a problem and the case worker at the PEO are glued up to the process.

Also, I have wasted few hours on this weekend trying to make a PEO booking but still can't see a slot in the week starting 14th Jan. Is this fully booked or the application is piece of j***?

Many thanks.
