ILR SET M need Help

Post by fiona69 » Mon Dec 10, 2012 1:27 pm

Hi

I am a malaysian citizen and was given a 27 month spouse visa and arrived in the UK in 2010.My husband is a british citizen.

Before I go further, I did leave the country for 2 months and waited until I qualified for my two years before applying. My application should be in the post to UKBA by Wednesday this week.

From the UKBA site, I understand that the new rule (9th July) would not apply to me, :).

Have a few questions as I received different answers when I rang UKBA. Here goes and hope to get some help..soon ..

A) I am using SET M to apply for ILR (me and hubby are great). Submitting my application via post.

1. Do I have to submit the original copy of my husband's passport ? If so, how fast can he ask for the return of his passport( the lady at the call centre , said he can ask for it but she was not able to give a timeframe as to when its safe, without the application being understood as withdrawn??) The reason I ask this, is my husband's son is in a youth offending centre and he needs his passport to visit his son. I dont wish for him to not be able to do that while I wait for my decision.

2) We have just bought a property,
- he has a full time position with a company he has been with for over 20 years.
- i have two years of his P60 which we plan to submit as originals, ( and we are yet to receive his pay slips from his boss, its a small company and pay slips are only given, when asked.
- then there is a long wait for the boss to come back with it) .
-That being said, his bank statement, is only for one month - nov( we lost loads of things were lost during our house move)
- I am a part time employee of this same company and I do have my P60 (original) which I will submit but predominantly, I am a housewife.

Question:Can we submit his payslips after my application has been sent ( with a letter explaining ourselves)? I am submitting my application this Wednesday coming.

Question: With us being new house owners, just a month now, what savings we both had on separate bank accounts have gone into the house. He does have his Nov bank statement showing a 600 pounds balance after monthly expanses.
-He does have an account with his father which shows a balance of 7000 pounds and of which he can produce three months statements, is this alright? And again, can this be posted in after my application has been posted ?

Question : My husband's P60 ending april 2012 shows 33,000 pounds and I am hoping that the P60 would be sufficient if the pay slips dont come through, am I right to assume this ?

Question: Should we get a copy of his deed from the bank ( for our new home) or can I give any other corresponding letters, i,e from the solicitors, our final invoice statement ?

We do have utilities and council tax for the new home which is under both our names, would that be sufficient if we dont provide a copy of the deed?

I am thoroughly confused as I have been advised rather bombarded with advice from families here and I am beginning to panic which is unlike me.

Please could you help and its much appreciated.
