Tier 2 Visa Application requirements.

An employer in the UK has provided me a job in a Gaming center as a Technical Executive Engineer based on the tier 2 work visa. The offer letter has been sent by post and I will receive it in a day or two. Once the offer letter is received I will be applying for the Visa in the UK embassy. I am situated in India and my nationality is Srilankan.

The documents that I have planned to take are 10th and 12th certificates, Degree certificates, Work experience letters, bank statement for the last 3 months, passport.

Can you please let me know the remaining documents that I need to have to apply for the visa and the cost of applying ?

Thanks for your information and sorry for the late reply.

The sponsor should be registered with the UKBA since he is working in UK on the same business for many years. I will go ahead and put a word with him.

the prospective employer has to assign a restricted CoS to you before you can apply for a visa

Hey Guys,

My employer got their (A-Rated)Tier2 General sponsorship licence on 12-12-12 and about to assign a Tier2 General Unrestricted COS(switching from Tier1 PSW to Tier2 general) to me this week, I got few questions..

1. What will be my work End date? I know the work start date will be 13 Feb 2013(My current Tier1 PSW visa expires by 12 Feb 2013)
2. If my employer certifies maintenance for me only(No dependants), do they need to pay any money for that? or it is just ticking that box.

I do maintain £900 in my bank account for last 3 months, but I would like to get maintenance certified from my employer, if it is not harm to anybody.

you did not say that you were in the UK. If you are on PSW at present the sponsor should assign an unrestricted CoS

1. it is up to the employer to declare how long they wish to employ you for. The max period you can get leave for is 3 years or the period of engagement if that is earlier.

2. it wouldn't cost the sponsor anything to certify maintenance
