Tier 2 general question

Hi,

I have came to know through ukba site that there wil changes from 06-Apr-2016 if i get my visa extended it will expire in 16-July-2016, my question is

will i be able to ask my employer to issue me cos letter dated 05-04-2016 so that i can come under old rules?

i know there is still 4 years to go but i just want to be prepared.
