Help on claiming child benifit please

hi guys
i got my ILR and applied for wifes flrm recently...we had a baby 7 weeks old and what type of benifts can i apply so that it wont effect my wifes visa for flrm or ILR later...my salary is only 21k and wife not working any more..

You can apply for child benefit, what other benefits do you think you should be getting if you are on an income of 21k pa, benefits are there to bridge the gap that low salary workers encounter due to the high cost of living, im pretty sure you are over the threshold to be able to qualify for benefits.

The tax office have a calculator to tax credits, maybe you should calculate your situation.

skrskr, go to the www.hmrc.gov.uk website where you will see links to Child Benefit and also to Tax Credits.
