eSavings account letter from bank (no bank statements)

Post by therock » Wed Dec 12, 2012 5:32 pm

Hi, I have an eSavings account with Lloyds TSB. I have maintained £3500 for 90 days (I have 3 dependants and me). Now Lloyds is saying that we can't order bank statements for eSavings account and given me the following letter with their company headed paper and signed:
J Smith
141 Test Road
London
E7 012

Dear J Smith

I can confirm Mr John Smith has an account with Lloyds TSB and has this esavings account open from 01/01/2010 and has maintained a balance of the last 90 days of £3500 to date 12/12/20012 of £4096.47

Yours sincerely,

Personal Banker
Is this enough for maintenance requirement points?

I have sent the above bank letter with my application. I just noticed that the banker did not mention my account number.

HO requirements for bank letters:
The letter from a bank, building society or regulated financial institution should state:

your name;
the account number;
the date of the letter;
the financial institution's name and logo;
the money held in your account; and
that sufficient money has been in the institution throughout the 90-day period immediately before the date of the letter.
Is this is a serious issue? Shall I request another copy with account number and send it to HO as I have acknowledgment letter?

The above letter is absolutely fine and meet the maintenance requirement.

It cover everything, whatever UKBA has asked in policy guidance.

Hi Therock,

As long as its on bank letterhead and have name of person who issued the letter you are fine, worse case scenario they will contact the bank to confirm and that it so no need to worry.
