dependent visa process

hi everyone.
i need advice on my wifes as a dependent visa.
i m in uk on tier 1 general , had my extension on tier march 2012 then i went back home to do nikah
i am thinking to apply for her as dependent.. do i need to show 18700 pounds and what papers my wife needs to prepare?
i read posts here but i am getting confused .
