Biometrics for 2nd extension Tier 1 G

Hello,

I applied for Tier 1 Genral extension for second time on Oct 25, 2012.

Payment mode: Bankers Draft.

I got ackowledgement but till date I didn't get any notification for Biometrics. Do we need Biometrics for 2nd time extension? or its needed only when we extend visa first time in UK?

Please let us know if anybody has similar experience.
