HSMP -> Tier 1

Post by drdh4 » Sun Dec 16, 2012 3:28 pm

Hi All,

Just a quick question about my ILR.

Here is my case,

While I was studying in UK I applied for HSMP in 2008 . Got my approval letter in 2008 July, asking me to go to my home country for HSMP visa. Left UK in September 2008.

Having stamped my HSMP visa in 2008 December 17, I left my home country on 30th December 2008.

Just wanted to know when does my ILR clock start? is it 17th December 2008 or 30th December 2008?

Thanks in advance.

The period between entry clearance being issued and the applicant entering the UK may be counted toward the qualifying period, as long as it does not exceed 90 days. This can occur if the applicant is delayed travelling to the UK. Provided the period of delay does not exceed 90 days, it will not be counted as an absence.
