Urgent please - T2 dependant visa

Post by ann771 » Sun Dec 16, 2012 5:07 pm

Hi guys,
I am in t2 general now. My partner is on PSW. We are planning to get married and my partner will become my dependant. My questions are:

1. If my partner switches from PSW to t2 dependant visa, is there ANY ways to process this in the UK. (Rather than not going back-home to apply for the dependant visa).

2. If there is no other way but to apply from back-home: can we do the following:
since my partners PSW visa doesn't expire in 6 months time, we go backhome in January, get married, apply for my partner's dependant visa from backhome. Can my partner return to the UK (as my partner will still have PSW leave left) while they still make a decision on the dependant visa application? It is because my partner also works full time in the UK.

Many thanks for your help.
Regards

1. Your partner cannot switch from PSW to Tier 2 General. Your partner will have to apply from India/Home country.

2.Not possible. When your partner applies for Tier 2 Dependant then he/she will have to submit her/his passport and current Residence Card. Do you think your partner can apply without passport ? Dude.

Now you have just one option get married and she/he will have to leave UK and apply from home country.

There is no other option .

There is NO premium service for Entry Clearance (Outside UK).

There is no standard time how long will it take as it is based per case. If you make proper application then it might take 1 day or could take upto 2 months or even more.

Better you make proper T2 Dependent application.

£1600 is more than enough. You should be okay

* 80% depedant applications are refused because they cannot prove their relationship was subsisting so please make sure you have all those documents.

Its also good to have a covering letter see below
