Spent Convictions for ILR

Post by Urvasi1 » Sun Dec 16, 2012 8:47 pm

Dear Memebrs,

Your guidance will be appreciated regarding below mentioned issue.

I am going to apply for ILR on 21st December 2012. I saw in SET(O) form they are asking for spent or unspent convictions. About 6 years back i have 3 points and about 100£ fine ( do not remeber exactly amount of fine). I am not sure if i have to mention it in the application form. At the time of extension, i did not mentioned it. I thought that after years it will be spent and no need to mention it at the time of ILR. No they are asking for both spend and unspent. I dont know if i mention it now and may be they will ask why i have not mentioned it in my previous application. Secondly I dont remeber exact date and amount of fine now nor i have any record with me. I got letter from ACPO and its showing that i dont have any conviction.
Please suggest me what to do. Shall i mentione it.. if yes then how to get the exact details of fine amount and date. If i mention, will they look at my previous application if i had mentioned in it or not?

best wishes

Find out about your licence

Hi Urvasi1,

Use this link to find out about your driving conviction. https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence ... -you-start.

The new guidance stated that any criminal conviction in the last three years would be refused. If yours in not in the last three years, I don't think you have any thing to worry about. It is advisable to specify the conviction. And have you found out if this is a criminal conviction and not FPN?

Thanks for your reply. As it was decided in the court so i have to mentioned in the application. So it means that i have to click conviction box as yes.

my main worry is, if i mention it in form may be they will ask me why i have not mentioned it at the time of extension.

Waiting for replies.

@Urvasi1

How did your ILR go on the 21st of Dec?
1. Did you specify that you have criminal conviction?
2. If so, what did HO say?

Thanks in advance for sharing
