Change of parent (mother) name in passport

Hi,

I am currently in UK on Tier1(gen). I am planning to bring my parents to UK on family visitors. My mother's first name in my passport is spelt differently (Lakshmamma as Lakshmi) to my mother's passport.

What is the procedure to change my mother's first name in my passport?

Or Is there any alternate option available?

Q: Can I apply for change in my gender or change in father's/mother's name in the passport? What additional documents do I have to submit?
