EEA4 application I appreciate if anyone can help:)

Post by puplerain » Tue Dec 18, 2012 11:47 am

First of all i want to thank you to people on this forum who puts so much out of their time to help others.

I have a question about my application and if anyone would be interested to write an answer i would be really happy .I have looked at the forum and read some posts but then i called home office and they are giving me totally different information,to cut the long story short,my story is

I am a non EU citizen married(civil partnership) to EU citizen:

We got into civil partnership in may 2007

I didn't get issued EEa2 straight away as my partner needed a workers registrationscheme certificate that time ,so they issued me a residence card for 1 year valid till Sep 2008

Then i applied for a residence permit and i got issued 5 year residence permit which expires April 2014

Also my partner(eu citizen) received a blue card and there is a residence card stamp inside(saying registration certificate)

We have been living together in same address all this time and she has been in full time employment

My question is as we have got into civil partnership 7 years ago can i apply for permanent residency as i spoke to home office and they said no and told me to wait till 2014 April

Thank you very much

I guess you meant you got into CP 5 years ago (2007), not 7.

Your time should start from around the time your partner has been issued with a WRS certificate assuming your were CP at the time.

She probably does have PR status already (as this is obtained automatically). What she doesn't have is PR confirmation from the HO.
