General Visitor

Post by milindsm » Thu Dec 20, 2012 12:49 am

Hello,

I am on Tier 1 (General) and planning to invite my parents next year. Just wondering how can my father prove that his mother (my grand mother) is completely dependent on him and thus he has a very strong reason to go back.

I am thinking of getting an affidavit. Is there any format (specific text) that needs to be used?

Thanks!

from a visitor visa application purpose this doesn't appear to be a strong reason. ECO normally prefer tangible evidence in the form property / employment etc.

Oh yes, he is going to show the property on his name. Just thinking of making his application more stronger by showing some family ties.

My friend invited his parents from India and he has a healthy grandmother but he said they left her with her daughter and haven’t mentioned in whole application. About parents who has a age near to 50 they do not bother much as it is just a formality of submitting required documents and get the visa.
