Calling the employer

Post by samira_uk » Thu Dec 20, 2012 1:33 pm

Hi

I'll have the appointment on 7Th Jan at 8:00 AM. I am Tier 1 General and employed.

Today I got a letter from employer with HR contact details which I am going to put in the application form.

The question is that as my appointment is very soon it is possible that when caseworker starts processing the application, nobody in the company available to answer her call. HR told me they usually start around 9-9:30 AM.

Then, what will happen in that case? Will she wait and call them back again or refuse based on not receiving any response (in the case that she calls them)?

Thanks in advance

what makes you think that the caseworker will definately call your company ?

if they do, they probably wont give you a decision same day

even UKBA are aware that most companies HR normally start at 9 AM

Thank you for your response.

I dont think they will call. I am asking the question what happened IF they call?

And I dont know why you think if they call they will not make the decision same day? Calling a company takes no long time. I know the cases that caseworker called and made the decision on the same day.

If you know that you will definately get a decision on same day then good for you, note that i used the word "probably", UKBA doesnt go by what I think really

Also note that UKBA handles 1000s of applications for extension so they definately deserve the credit of knowing when companies HR is open for business

Goodluck with your app!
