passport validity to enter UK please help

Hi,

anyone can help please,

my mother hold a pakistani passport but lives in france ( french residency card)
she wants to visit me next week and has still a visa valid till 15 janvier 2013

Her pakistani passport expires on 28 may 2013.
Date to travel would be around 22 december, so before 6 months of passport epxiry date.

I am looking for info on net as her passport expires soon.

Anyone can help me if there is this 6 months expiry thing law to respect?

her coming would be fine as it would be under the 6 month, but on her retur to france in january it will exceed the 6 months limiit of expiry.

Anyone has a reliable source to help me on that if it would be fine for her to come?
