Rescheduling Glasgow PEO appointment

Hi I have just managed to get an appointment for Glasgow PEO next month after a great deal of difficulty which I would prefer to reschedule if I get some slot near London. I noticed when I click on the rescheduling option that there are some messages which mention that UKBA will simultaneously cancel the current appointment. Could someone please advice if there are any risks with rescheduling i.e. my current appointment gets cancelled if I manage to find some other slot but the system is unable to book the new one due to someone else being a bit quicker,etc.?

Also my appointment is just a couple of days outside the 28 days period, so am a bit worried that I will fall a couple of days short of my ILR if I do go ahead and get my new start date as the appointment date. Could people advice of their experience at Glasgow and if they are very strict as compared to say Croydon when it comes to the new visa start date?

When you reschedule an appointment, your current appointment will not get cancelled until you book a new one. So if you fail to find a new appointment, your current one will still stay. I have done this so I know.

With regards to your second question regarding few days over 28 days window. There is no guarantees on this. In any PEO you go, it all depends on the caseworker. However, with regards to my experience on reading lot of glasgow reviews, I have noticed that most of the applicants got their visas extended from the appointment dates rather than the expiry day. So if I were you, I would keep my appointment close to my expiry.
