Well, time-frame for processing is completely different in Pakistan. Last time when I applied for my mother (family visit visa) it was issued in 5 days!

You can't compare it to UKBA time-frames here in the UK.

Yeah thats true... I think time-frame for processing depends on amount of applications and in uk more people apply especially students such as me switching from tier-4 to tier-1...

Hopefully processing time will decrease as from 13/12/2012 students are not
Allowed to switch tier categories within uk..

I'm one of the students who got in right under the wire before 13/12, so I'm guessing it will be especially long for us to get an answer since a massive amount of people must have applied before the rules changed...

Thanks Akhan! I got my letter yesterday as well, had to send off extra documents today so I really hope everything will be OK now with my application. Let's keep each other posted :)

Hi All,

Wish you guys good luck in advance ..... I was planning to apply before 13/12/2012 but it didn't happen because of some unexpected travel abroad.

I am going to apply in first week of January now (Hopefully) and my current category is PSW so i guess new policy doesn't effect me as I have 50K in uk joint bank account with my tier1 enterpreneur team member which is my younger brother.

Also guys please advise if i have funds in uk bank account and its a joint account and myself and my team member both have same excess to the money so i guess i dont need to provide any letter from bank or solicior?

Also will any of you who have already applied for visa will be able to provide me with the copy of contract you have sent with you application to uk to show trading? (I WILL BE VERY? THANKFUL TO WHOEVER PROVIDE ME WITH THAT AS I AM REALLY STUCK WITH THIS CONTRACT)

Thanks in advance and good luck with your application

regards

Rehan

Hi Shahbazali,

As per my understanding if you are applying as team and funds are held in joint account which is on your and your team member name than you don't need any legal advisor or notarized, attested letter.

please correct if I am wrong ..... as policy guidance says both should have same excess to funds so joint account fulfil this requirements.

regards

Rehan
