PSW to Tier 2(General) - Help Required

Post by kaj1234 » Fri Dec 21, 2012 11:16 pm

Hi,

I’m currently on PSW and will be switching to Tier 2 (General). My visa expires in Feb 2013 and my company has already provided with COS.
I have few doubts before I submit my application.

1. Currently my salary is 26k however I will be paid 30k in future as required under the SOC code 2132 (Network Communication Analyst). Do I have to give my past salary slips?
2. What proof do I have to give to ukba that going forward I will be paid in accordance with the SOC code?
3. Are there any other documents which I require from my employer like working from last 1 year etc.?
4. What documents do I have to submit apart from COS, bank statement, master’s degree along with my application form?

I really appreciate any suggestion and assistance.

Thanks in advance

You need to get paid at or above required salary rate and above 20k a year to score points for salary. You can't use a salary you are going to get in the future. So make sure you meet the salary requirement before you apply.

No need for payslips and proof. When your employer issues your certificate all of this information will be given to UKBA by your employer. All you need to get is that sponsorship number which you put in your application.
Bank statements - yes. 90 days with £900 on ALL days.
UK degree certificate which is basically used to prove that you know English.

you know that the UKBA have a website right? pretty much has answers to all your questions regarding documents and all.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... 2/general/

also importantly make sure your job is a NQF level 6 job. (mine just got refused because of that! even though technically they allow NQF level 4 Creative sector jobs as stated on the Immigration Law! so going through an appeal soon). and your Certificate of sponsorship has to be Unrestricted (as you are switching from PSW) also exempts your from RMLT.

checklist
- application form
- 2x photos
- 3 months latest bank statements (the ones you get on the post. if printed from the internet needs to be stamped. website has more info on this)
- Original degree certificate (plus transcript if you have it)
- passport

that's pretty much it i guess :) good luck!
