Passport Renewed

Post by mnmoin85 » Sat Dec 22, 2012 7:00 pm

Hi all,

I am on Tier 1 General, my passport expired in Nov 2012, so i got it renewed while i was on my holiday in pakistan. I was issued tier 1 general on my old passport in may 2011. Do i have to inform the UKBA , or get another BRP on my new passport. the BRP does not have any mention of my passport number, and on arrival to UK they didnt ask me to do any of it , but i am slightly concerned as i have got me ext in may 2013.

Nabeel.

You don't need to inform the UKBA or get a BRP. A BRP will be issued when you apply for your extension in May 2013. I was in the same situation earlier this year where my visa vignette was in my expired passport and my new passport was issued overseas. When applying for my extension I just enclosed the expired passport and new passport with the application and had no issues at all. Prior to my extension I just carried both my passports when travelling.
