Hi All,
I'll outline the situation and try to give any relevant information.
My wife will apply for ILR in February after being here since March 2011.
We originally married in Thailand in 2001, however we divorced in 2009 in order for my wife to sell our house in Thailand. This was done just to get round a legal loophole because I was living in the UK at the time of selling and it was just sooo much easier to do it that way!
When we started to make plans for my wife and son ( British & Thai Passport ) to come to settle in the UK, we remarried in November 2010 and my wife successfully applied for her Spouse Visa. We told the British embassy / Visa department about our marriage status ie. married, divorced.remarried , and it wasn't a problem. Both Thai Marriage Certificates were presented. The thing is neither of us can remember if we presented the Divorce Paper and as it is, we cannot find it!!
The latest ILR Application Form is asking for any divorce papers...Do we/ Should we mention this when applying??? Or just present the LAST marriage certificate?
Many thanks and if you need more info, please don't hesitate to ask me. As you all know the ILR is not cheap and I really don't want to jeopardise it in any way.
