Financial documents for appeal in spouse visa

Post by meha » Thu Dec 27, 2012 1:28 pm

Hello,

A friend of mine got refused a spouse visa because he only submitted last 3 months payslips and bank statements.
He is self-employed and was supposed to submit documents for one full financial year.

His salary is above £18,600 per annum and is able to prove this for the whole financial year April 2011 to April 2012.

Is he allowed to submit such documents with his appeal?
As the financial requirement was the only ground of refusal, would these new document be taken into consideration or is it better to make a new spouse visa application?

Many thanks for your help.

Yes he can submit it with appeal.

Just explain misunderstanding that you was not fully aware of the new requirements and that you have attached correct documents now.

However appeal may take up to 6 months and if you have to employ a solicitor, the cost involved would be equal to lodging a new application......something you should take into consideration when deciding what to do
