Mode of payment

Post by paladin » Sat Dec 29, 2012 12:36 am

Hello All,

I will be applying for my extension in January. I have 2 dependents which makes my application fee £3000 (£1500 + £750 + £750). What is the best payment method? I am not sure with using credit / debit cards as my bank might decline payments (I called my bank, and they said that there is 50-50 chance of payment decline as it fully automated check and the payments are big amounts).
What is the best payment method?
1. Is it worth using bank draft (which costs £25 per draft)?
2. Payment by cheque. This delays application processing.
3. Using credit / debit card.

Finally, if paying by bankers draft, is that OK to take one draft for the whole £3000?

Thanks.
