Tier 2 visa for a baby born in the UK

Hi All,

I have already student (tier 4) visa and I have a baby born here in the UK. I have applied for my baby for the Tier 4 Dependent visa as well.

I am planning to switch from Tier 4 (student visa) to Tier 2 (sponsored visa).

In this case does anybody know if my baby will get a British passport after switching or no?

My baby already got a UK birth certificate.

Any idea or advice please?

The baby can only acquire British Citizenship if one of the parents is a British citizen or holds Indefinite Leave to Remain.
