PEO query

Post by SHILPA123 » Sat Dec 29, 2012 3:19 pm

Hi I have a peo for a tier 2 visa coming up shortly. I am switching employers. I have been told that though they give you the decision the same day, it can take 5-7 days for the biometric residence permit to arrive.

Can I join the new place as soon as I have the decision or do I need to wait for the biometric residence permit?

Many thanks

I have heard it is best to wait for the BRP to start the new post to ensure that all of the details on the BRP are correct. If something is incorrect on the BRP, it will need to be changed; all of this will take additional time. Though very unlikely, UKBA could take issue with this (so I have heard).

Better to be safe than sorry, right??

A more learned reader might have different (and better) advice.
