I have applied for ILR in December 2012 - Application status is HELD!
for the first 4 months ( November to February ) i was working as an employee and submitted my Payslips for that period and from march till november 2012 i was a director of the company so i submitted by Divdend vouchers for that period along with accountant papers showing the income i earned as a director .
My 12 months are covered and submitted all other documents - but the case worker HELD my applcation saying i need to show my CLASS 2 NI contributions Evidence and also Company Profit and loss Statements !
So i contacted HMRC - they advised my Class 2 NI contributions to Date are 400 from 2009 till date - which i paid.
prepared profit and loss statements by an accountant for the company
so i submitted Class 2 NI + profit and loss statements the very next day by post .
i have paid class 2 ni even though i was a director of the company !
my question is - is that a good thing to pay class 2 NI even though i was not self employed and how long will they normally take to process my application .
I applied throgh same day service over the counter !
