Need advise on visa application.

Hello,

I'm a Malaysian living in The Netherlands and my husband is Dutch. I have a residence permit for NL. We're thinking of moving to the UK but unsure which visa is suitable for me. There won't be any issues for him as he is under the EU. He doesn't have a job in the UK at the moment but he's planning to look for one. My questions are :
1) Do I need to apply for EEA FP? however I've checked that Malaysia is not under the "visa national" category. As a Malaysian, I'm given 6 months of visa-free to travel in the UK. But that is not what we're looking for. We're planning to live there more than 6 months.
2) Once I have given the visa,will I be able to work?
