I'm aware of the changes in the regulations. However, this doesn't mean that you made the correct application. Application for Residence Card using form EEA2 should be made by applicants residing in the UK (check the first line on the first page of the application form).allana2010 wrote:http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2012/1547/made its a link from UKba and below is the explanatory note regarding the new amendments of regulation 2006.
and i have read as well on some sites that this amendments basically is for single parents of a british child/adult who are primary carer who has limited leave to remain and are outside UK..
I'm trying to find that site now so i can show you all..
You are confusing some of the terms.allana2010 wrote:Jambo,

And alsoThe changes won’t affect the majority of the readers of our blog because the vast majority is resident overseas; the Changes to the EEA Regulations coming into effect on 8 November do not (not) affect applicants for EEA Family Permits overseas.
Does the Zambrano judgement affect visa applicants whose circumstances are similar to those described in the judgement but who currently reside outside the UK?
No, it doesn’t. There is no current provision for someone to apply for a visa to come to the UK solely on the basis of the Ruiz Zambrano judgement. Currently an applicant will need to qualify for a visa in another category of the Immigration Rules if they wish to come to the UK.
You will be surprised. The HO just acknowledged the application. No one really looked into it and realised that you live abroad (especially as you provided a UK address for the correspondence).i don't think that HO will acknowledge and give me CoA if im not on the right application.
DRF1 form is still not available on the HO website (although the press release refers to it). DRF1 as well as EEA2 should be used by applicants living in the UK.Definitely they know that I am outside UK applying under EEA2 route under ruiz zambrano ruling whilst the right form DRF1 is not yet in place but it is now on the UKBA website.

You will need your passport for that. Did you sed your passport to support the EEA2 application?i am thinking of applying a EEA family permit to be able to enter back to UK and wait for my RC in UK.
