new born baby Tier1 extension without passport/endorsed?

Tricky question,

my visa is due to expire in two week time and I have new born dependent who is only one month old. I have tried very hard but the process to get his new passport takes 4 weeks, can he get BPR without being endorced on parent passport or without having a passport?

Or it is necessary that child must be endorsed or have own passport before getting his visa as Tier 1 dependent?
