It may be a silly question, but can one claim Job seekers allowance whilst in between employers on an ICT TIER 2 visa?

You cannot claim any benefits within the Public Funds definition. So that cuts out any claim for income-based JSA.

However contribution-based JSA is not within the definition of Public Funds, and there is no problem you claiming that, as long as you have paid enough NI contributions.

How long have you been paying NI contributions in the UK?

Hi John,

Thank you for the clarification.
I have made NI contributions from Jan 12 to Nov 12.
Am a eligible for any contribution based allowance & if so how do I claim this?

Unfortunately that is not long enough, for you to claim c-b JSA at the moment.
