Lost Cancelled/old passport contains current UK Visa

Post by sai kiran » Fri Jan 04, 2013 5:20 pm

Hi,

I am in the UK with Tier 2-ICT Long term Staff and my Visa will expire on Feb 2013 and also my Passport is expire in 5 months I have applied and got new passport.
I have now submitted all my document with my 2 passport to my company HR to process my visa extension.
Yesterday the HR has come back to me saying she has lost my old/cancelled passport which has my current VISA.
The person who has lost my cancelled passport is saying that old/cancelled passport is not required to process UK visa extension. And has been submitted my application to UKBA

I have below questions

1. What are all the steps I should take now when lost my old/cancelled passport.
2. Can you please let me know what implication I will face when I will be travelling other countries
3. Do I need to reapply for my cancelled passport from my embassy or if I inform them is fine
4. Does it not required Old/cancelled passport to process UK Tire 2 visa extension.

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
Kiran

It was your application that HR submitted together with your documents and you must have signed it.
How was the section about current and previous passports filled in?
If HR didn't give you a copy of the application ask for it. It was your responsibility to ensure that the application form was correctly completed.
