Hi all,

Very easy Very quick question :)

I have been in this country (UK) since 30th Jun 2005 and i have been married since 6th october 2007. My wife is German and i am Turkish because of her i do have a " Residence Card of a Family Member of an EEA National" .

I would like to get a British Passport what route do i need to follow?

Many Thanks

Most likely 5 years from the date you married you got PR.

You should apply for a PR card which confirms that. Explicitly mention that the period of reference for the application is from your marriage until Oct 2012.

In Oct 2013 you can apply for naturalization.

Your wife can likely apply now for citizenship if she wishes.

This all assumes your wife has been legally resident in the UK continuously since 2007 (or 2005 if she is applying).

And if she was working, been self-employed or student, self-sufficent with oci for 5 years.
