PIO vs OCI

Post by keepsim » Sun Jan 06, 2013 12:28 pm

hello guys

I want to find out which one is better option out of PIO / OCI card based on below information. Also can I really apply OCI or not ?

1. Its for my 4 months old baby who has british passport/citizenship [born in UK]
2. Me and my wife are on Indian Passport [ holding UK PR]

The purpose of getting PIO/OCI is to ofcourse make easy travel to India also securing long term hassle. I had learned from few websites that OCI is for life time so baby wont have to spend money/effort in getting it renewed.

Thanks in advance.

your baby is not eligible for OCI as either of parents are not british.
