WP - Company name change - UK immigration

Post by WP38 » Mon Jan 07, 2013 11:32 am

Hello

I am on a 5 year work permit, valid from June 2008 to June 2013. I have been at the same job for the last 4.5 years.

Last month, my company acquired another company and due to branding reasons, my company name has changed. The name of my company before acquisition was "XYZ" and now it is "XYZ ABC".

I need to travel outside UK next week for 10 days. So the question is
- Will I have any problem in immigration when I come back to UK. My WP has not changed
- Will a letter from my company stating the above suffice?

I apologise if this is in the wrong forum, but please advise

You should be covered by TUPE. The HR should also notify UKBA and may (or may not) need to apply for a new sponsorship.
