Payslips and bank statements more than 1 month old

Post by friday » Mon Jan 07, 2013 1:54 pm

Hi All,

I am currently on Tier 1 (General) and will apply for ILR in August 2013. As I understood, the rules say that I could claim points for earnings for 12 months (in the last 15 months) before my application.

Assuming that I will apply for ILR in August 2013, can I show payslips and bank statments for for the months Jan, Feb, March , April , May and June 2013 only (assuming this will give me enough points)? Do I need to need provide documents for July also?

I read somewhere that the documents provided should not be more than 1 month old.

I hope someone can help please.

Thank you in advance.

Max 12 of the last 15 months. If July figures do not add value to your application, I don't see the need to include it.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.

wpilr-nov12 thanks for your reply.

I read somewhere, but I cannot remember where exactly, that documents provided should not be more than 1 month old at the date of application for ILR. Maybe they meant for the maintenance bank statement or something else. I am trying to research for for this information but I completely lost it. Sorry if I am causing a confusion.

Thanks again.

If that were the case, how exactly would you get your previous month's done? Reissued/reprinted/restamped?

The 1 month requirement applies to T2/WP related applications.

On page 4 of the Set (O) guidance notes it says:

"Payslips: This must be the most recent payslip. It must be dated no earlier than one calendar month before the date of application."

Also on the same page,

"Personal bank or building society statement:This must be the most recent statement dated no earlier than one calendar month before the date of the application."

Maybe these notes are for different categories?

The paragraph immediately preceeding the one you quote answers your question.
