old passport details in section 3B of BP application

Post by samar0001 » Mon Jan 07, 2013 2:56 pm

Hi Guys,

I have a current passport with ILR on it, And the old passport which is expired which got the entry to UK stamp and old visa stamps

So in section 3B of British Passport application do i need to put both the passport details

I hope expired passport not regarded as cancelled.

When a passport expires, and you renew it, usually the passport authority of that country cuts the passport's corner. This means the passport is cancelled. So, in most cases, an expired passport will be a cancelled passport if a new one has been obtained.

Hope it clears your doubts.

Please refer to 'page 11' on the guidance notes for filling out the form. With regards to sending your documents you will need to send both passport as (a) you used your previous passport to enter the UK and (b) the other one is your current passport. Hope this helps.
