Working on Dependent Visa ( WP )

Post by minal_joshi01 » Tue Jan 08, 2013 9:21 am

Hi All ,

I am applying for a visa under tier 2 ICT . Along with me my husband will also get a dependent visa . We are planning that my husband will resign and work in UK.
He is an IT guy . He is a senior test analyst and having over 7 yrs of experience in manual and automation testing .

He is planning for contract jobs in testing.

Is it fine will he get a job.

I'm in a similar position, as far as I know there are plenty of openings..

But make sure you allow atleast 2 to 3 months for job search..

Also he can start searching from your home country, firstly, start applying in job sites.. and if needed get a UK number and redirect it to your home country number to attend telephone interviews .. It's a good start.

Getting first job in UK is a bit tough, and some agency/employer's may not know / accept that your husband is allowed to work ! ( but he is allowed .. )
