kids born in uk

Post by rajjuma » Wed Jan 09, 2013 1:49 pm

i apply my ilr on set o (long residency) on aug 2012 done biometric on nov 2012 and still waiting for ilr. my question is my boys are born in uk and they have........ passport valid visa untill feb 2013. so, i am confused if i don't get my ilr in time before my kids visa expires. what step should i take, because some people inform me i don't need to extend my kids visa, they can straight apply for BC after i get my ilr because they are born here. thanks.

Your kids do not become illegal. They can still apply for Naturalisation after you get your ILR. So don't worry, it doesn't matter if kids visa expires before you get ILR.
Goodluck.

Thanks for quick reply, with your reply i think i am going to save some of my money. I want one more information, do both parents need ilr for kids application (MN1) ? Because my wife haven't apply for it although she is already qualified for it. :) and what kind of documents should i include with MN1 application.

No just one parent with ILR would be sufficient.
Please check MN1 form and guidance for documents. It's pretty straightforward.
Goodluck.

I am still waiting for my decision from home office (already more then 6 month)I am still wondering for my 2 kids (born in uk) visa because i got some post they don't need visa, (no matter their visa expired)but i try to make sure from home office link but, i couldn't find the ans, can someone help me in this matter because their visa is expiring this month and which form should my wife have to use for her application because her visa also finishing this month i think she have to apply before her visa expired.
