Residency Requirement for Child under 16 for MN1 - 3(1)

Iam a British Citizen, My wife and my step daughter have got their ILR very recently. My wife qualifies with the 3 year residency requirement,as she was in the UK on a work permit prior to our marriage. Now my question is regarding my stepdaughter, who has completed only about 20 months in the UK as she entered the country after few months of our marriage. Can i apply for Naturalisation for my wife thru AN form and my step daughter through MN1 form at the same time. Will my daughter's application be successful, as she has not completed 2 years in the country?

Is 2 year period a compulsory thing for the child? the mn1 form is based on section 3(1)

I would like to submit via NCS route this week.
