Visitor Visa: Evidence of a sponsors immigration status...

Post by Sooda » Fri Jan 11, 2013 12:00 am

Hi all,

A quick query to check if the 'evidence for my immigration status' as a sponsor for a family visa for my inlaws living overseas HAS to be a passport copy? Can it be birth certificate (proving Im a citizen) or anything else similar if I do not have access to my passport?

Many thanks in advance

A British birth cert does not prove someone is a citizen unless born before 1983.

A certified copy will work; you don't have to submit the original.
