Contract Testing Job

I can find lots of contract testing opening on jobserver and other job sites in UK. I am really interested to know if all this opening are true .

Also If I am wp Holder will they respond for the opening they might ignore.

Can anybody who is searchin contract job in testing give me some idea on searching contract job
It would be really helpful

I am a contract Lead QA and I use jobserver and cwjobs a lot. Many of their jobs are genuine but you need to be quick. I will advise that any job that has advertised beyond 7 days ago is probably a waste of time.

As per your WP, as long as the length of the contract you want to go for is less than the end date of your visa and you can convince the agency that you are good at what you do, then you have no problem at all.

At the moment, my contract was extended for seven months but my Tier 1 expires in May, so the agency extended my contract on paper till May and we agreed in principle that as soon as I get my ILR to them the contract would be extended further.

So, your WP is not a problem at all.

I think your reply was very helpful to me. one more thing I will be travelling next month to UK . Can I apply from india for the contract job. Will the recruiter response ? Will they take a telphonic interview .
Also I am keen to know how easy it is to get contract job in UK

I wouldn't apply from India... no..no! Contract Testing job is like they want you to start yesterday. So, if you want to apply get here first. That is IMHO.

How easy is it depend on many factors;
1. What time of the year it is? Many contract testing role are around Feb till Nov with the peak around summer
2. How good you are when it comes to testing methodologies?
3. Well, how like-able you are?

This is I have know from my days of interviewing people

If you are worried about coming to the UK, why don't you take extended leave of about two to three months, if that is possible and see if you like the situation here or not.

If you like it here, then resign from India job and stay, if not return back to your old job in India. I am not from India, I don't know how extended leave operates there.
