T1 extension Gross Earning

Post by mithi » Fri Jan 11, 2013 8:43 am

Hi,

I am in the process of submitting my application for T1 General extension. Till Dec 2011 I was working for CTS India and from Jan 2012 I joined CTS UK. The query which I have:

1. I got an amount of INR 300,000 from CTS India on Jan 2012 at my hdfc India account as full & final amount. In my extension application I am showing my earning from Jan 2012 - Dec 2012.

Can I use the Indian amount earned in Jan 2012 as one of the earning for the current year for T1 extension? My Second question...

2. In the similar way I received around INR 580,000 for PF & Gratuity from CTS India in March 2012. Can I use this amount as an earning for my T1 extension?

The reason for asking this question is that it helps me to gain additional 5 points for the amount earned from CTS India which makes me feel more comfortable. Otherwise I am having exact 80 points for the PBS.

3. The last question, can I show the amount mentioned at the offer letter or the actual monthly gross received from my employer as the earning?

Please advise.

regards

In my opinion, Claiming 80 or 85 points is not going to make any difference. Even if you claim 80 you will be given the extension (if other requirements are met) as per the rule .80 points is the minimum requirement and you are having it. This is not a Ranking system.

I would say, please do not complicate your case by submitting extra docs and that too International earnings as it involve exchange rate, extra payslips, docs etc..

The case worker might get confused sometimes. Keep the docs minimal and accurate. If you were less to the minimum points (say, 75 points) then I would recommend adding your international earnings.

As you are having the required points my suggestion would be to go ahead with the UK earnings alone and not to include international earnings
