I expedited my case last week and I got my docs back- T1(G)

Post by genuflexion » Fri Jan 11, 2013 11:32 am

Dear All,

Hope we all are keeping well there.

I wonder if senior members can help me with the below;

I faxed UKBA last week (4/01/13) to expedite my case that had been with UKBA for more than 3 months. I bold highlighted in the body of the letter 'I DO NOT WISH TO WITHDRAW MY CASE'.

I have just now received my documents back, however there is no biometric card, no approval letter enclosed. The envelope does not have my application forms either.

There is no correspondence letter inside the envelope saying that if they have withdrawn my case or approved my case or rejected my fax. I have not received any email from them either.

What could it be? Are other letters coming through in post?

Which number to call to find the status, aside from 0870.

Thanks very much in advance.

first of all i dont know the actual reason why did you expediate your case as its just been with them only for 3 months.

now the only option left is to speak to them on 0870 number no other contact is avaialble.

there are 1000's of cases in UKba right now which are over 6 months.

Thanks for your reply, askhan.

I expedited my case on the basis of job offer(prospective).

Basically, prospective employer had asked in writing to see my passport. I informed during my 1st interview that the docs will be back by Jan'12.

Also, I attached other interview offers asking me to bring in the passport.

Like others my career progression is being effected. However, I specifically stated twice in my fax to them that 'please don't withdraw my case in anyway'.

Please help.

Thanks again for your help and time.

Sir Yes Sir.

Point taken and will always remember for life.

A lesson once learned is not worth forgetting!

You have a good day Manka.

Meanwhile I repeatedly read the approval letters (for no reason), only for satisfaction purposes  :D .

Thanks

Imminent job offer-no passport in sight

Post by cooltoy » Thu Jan 17, 2013 5:04 pm

Hi Guys,

I seem to be in the same situation with you. I applied on the 16th of October and I am yet to receive my passport. I am at my last stage of an interview process where the final interview is just a formal "meet the Snr Manager interview" and then a job offer. I'm afraid they might might yank their offer away if I do not have the necessary permisiion to work in the uk, so I am really desperate right now. Does anyone have the home office number to which I can send a fax to asap?

I will appreciate a quick response. I want to get this sent out by 2moro

Thank you
