Switching from PSW to Tier 2 General with low pay

Post by luckydee » Sat Jan 12, 2013 3:15 pm

Hi everyone. I only just found this forum as I was scouring the 'net desperate for a solution to my peculiar situation. Thank you all for the wonderful advice you give on this forum. I am in the process of switching from PSW to Tier 2 general but my current pay is less than £20,000. My employers are happy to sponsor me and increase my salary but the increment only from next year. However my PSW expires before than, and I need to apply by the end of this month. What do do, please help!!!!!

the sponsor must confirm in the CoS that your salary from the work start date will be £20k or the minimum stated in the codes of practice for the Job SOC code, whichever the higher. If you cannot satisfy this requirement there is no point applying, the application will be refused. Also, your job must be at level NQF6 unless it is a creative sector occupation.
