Acknowledgement as AN6(1) instead of AN6(2)

Post by Dags » Sat Jan 12, 2013 10:06 pm

Hi all,

I applied for citizenship as spouse of BC (Initial visa was ancestry before ILR). It's only been a few months between approval for ILR and naturalisation application (ok for spouse of bc). It was clear on the form that i'm applying as spouse of a bc.

On my acknowledgement it states that the type of application is AN6(1). I thought it should be AN6(2) given my wife is British. I won't qualify if the spouse isn't taken into account.

Is this a mistake by UKBA? Does it really matter? Any thoughts or suggestions?
