Tourist visa for my wife

Post by vikkuboss2001 » Sun Jan 13, 2013 12:57 pm

Hi Guys,
For some reason I am looking to apply for a tourist visa first instead of a spouse visa for my wife. I am on ILR in UK at the moment.
I had a few questions regarding the same.
1. Will bringing her on a tourist visa create any problem when she applies for a spouse visa 6 months later from India?
2. Should I be careful about not registering her on NHS etc.. or is there anything that I should be careful while she is staying here with me in London?
3. Can someone direct me to the list of documents required for the tourist visa?
4. Will this tourist visa for my wife be multiple entry and can I apply for schengen visa while she is here in London as I may want to visit Europe in the next few months?
Thanks a lot for your help!

1. Probably not. But what will her reason be to go back after a tourist visa?
2. She should get travel insurance.
3. See also Visitor Guidance.
4. She should apply for a Schengen visa from her own country of residence. Most countries will not accept visa applications from visitors.
