UK Visa application and passport validity

Post by abc456 » Tue Jan 15, 2013 2:33 pm

Hello All,

Could someone help me please.

I am currently in dependent spouse visa. My husband is a British citizen.
My 2 years dependent visa expires on mid March 2013 while my passport expires in end of June 2013.

Will i be able to apply ILR on my current passport which is less than 6 months to expire or do i have to get new passport ?

Also will i be able to apply for naturalisation immediately or do i have to wait for 1 year after ILR as i am in this country for 4 years.

Thank you in advance for your response.

If you on spouse to BC, you can apply for naturalization, immediately after you got your ILR

Yes you can apply with your current passport and you will get ILR on card. As you are spouse of BC, you can apply BC when you complete 3 years residency requirements. Good luck.
